The Dermamelan system has been designed to eliminate blemishes caused by excess melanin in the skin. Uneven pigmentation is a frequent skin problem and can have various origins, among which are genetic, race, sex, pregnancy, oral contraceptive use, menopause and sun exposure. The Dermamelan system acts within the cells responsible for skin pigmentation, decreasing colour production in areas where excess production is apparent to remove the skin blemishes. The system can be used at any time of the year provided a complete sun block is applied on a daily basis to prevent the negative effects of the sun on the blemishes.
