Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy
Using advanced skin micro-surgical needling, Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy is a procedure that stimulates the skin and helps it to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely to create healthier, smoother, brighter and younger-looking skin.
Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy can improve the appearance of acne scars, facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles, aged and sun damaged skin and stretch marks significantly. The device will create thousands of microscopic needle-columns, each penetrating into the dermis of the skin. Leaving a column approximately 0.1mm in width, it will close quickly enabling the skin to recover in a very short amount of time - often within the same day.
Your doctor will use a topical anaesthetic to numb the area to be treated, making the procedure comfortable and will normally take up to half an hour for the anaesthetic to work. Then, a further 20-30 minutes will be required to complete the procedure.
After the procedure your body will naturally begin to repair and regenerate the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This can take some time as new collagen and elastin is formed, new skin cells are generated and the supply of blood is improved. Typically, it can take up to 6 to 12 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair appear and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a gradual and long lasting enhancement.
Consecutive skin needling sessions will increase the production of collagen improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and scars.
Our Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy consists of a series of 3 procedures with around 6 - 8 weeks between each. For the treatment of acne scars and other types of skin scarring it may be necessary to extend your Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy, carrying out up to 5 procedures.
