Neck
On the neck, horizontal lines are known as necklace lines and vertical ridges are called platysmal bands.
Necklace lines are caused by thin lax skin as well as tense neck muscles. These lines may be treated with Botulinum Protein (Muscle Relaxing Injections) or dermal fillers.
As we age, the platysma neck muscle may become more enlarged. When this happens, vertical bands may become more pronounced when the muscle is contracted. Botulinum Protein (Muscle Relaxing Injections) may be used to relax the muscle and diminish the appearance of the bands.
Crepy skin on the neck lines can also be improved by CO2RE fractional laser treatment, PRP 'Dracula' therapy and Growth Factor therapy.
