How does it work?

The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the blood and collapses the unwanted vein. The laser energy is delivered through a hand-held device with a cooling tip that protects your skin.

When will you see results?

Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements in facial redness, broken capillaries and small facial veins within a few days. With each subsequent rosacea treatment, subtle changes will accumulate until you have achieved the improvement you desire.

How often can you have it done?

A series of six treatments, spaced four weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments for rosacea may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. Periodic occasional maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.

What can you expect immediately post-treatment?

Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and/or swelling. The redness and swelling usually dissipate within one to three days. Makeup can be applied to the treated area immediately, if necessary. It is extremely important to apply SPF30 sunblock and avoid sun exposure on a daily basis to prevent additional sun damage.

What are the side-effects?

Side-effects include pain, burning, blister formation, and stinging sensation, infection, pigmentary changes including decrease or increase in skin colour at the site of treatment, scar formation, laser induced "cold-sore-like" blistering, skin eruptions known as "herpetic" skin eruptions at the site of treatment and poor cosmetic outcome. There may also be possible hair reduction at site of treatment.

How long does it take?

Rosacea treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.
