Thread veins

PriceLaser treatment quickly and safely eliminates unsightly thread veins, spider veins and broken capillaries up to around 4mm in diameter. Laser treatment with our unit minimises redness and bruising normally associated with traditional thread vein treatment. It can be used to effectively treat people of any skin type and ethnic origin.

Laser energy from our unit is absorbed by the pigment in the blood and causes unwanted spider veins to collapse without harming the surrounding tissue. The laser energy is delivered through a hand-held device with a cooling tip that protects the skin.

The treated thread veins can dramatically fade or completely disappear during the laser treatment. Some blood vessels can show temporary swelling that subsides after anything from a few hours to a few days. The redness of the vessels gradually disappears as the healing process takes place and can take between 2 and 8 weeks.

Most patients at our clinic see an excellent improvement after just two or three sessions of laser treatment. Everybody responds differently to thread vein laser treatments, with some people needing only one session and others requiring a second or third treatment. You can optimise your own results by closely following the post-treatment instructions.

A typical treatment interval is eight weeks and most laser treatments will take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area to be treated.
