Laser treatment for shaving bumps

Shaving bumps may appear on any commonly shaved area of your body and are caused by ingrown hairs. Laser treatment is highly effective at eradicating them.

Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle while your hair is in its active phase of growth. The laser energy is converted into heat and stuns the hair follicle without harming the surrounding tissue. The hair follicle is then unable to grow new hair at the same fast rate as before and hence reducing the tendency towards ingrown hairs and shaving bumps.

Since only 30% or less of your hair may be in the active growth phase at any one time depending on the body area, a series of laser treatments are required to achieve the long-term improvement. These laser treatments are spaced approximately 4-12 weeks apart, depending on the position. Long-term improvement is usually seen after completing a series of six to eight laser treatments. One or two annual touch up laser treatments may be required after completing the initial treatment series.

Sessions to treat the neck or bikini shaving bumps can take as little as 15 minutes, while a full beard and neck may take 45 minutes.

We have a loyal client base who come for their laser treatments from the surrounding regions in Surrey and Hampshire (Hants). These include Guildford, Woking, Bracknell, Petersfield, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet and Alton amongst many others.
