Profhilo in Surrey

Profhilo is a pure hyaluronic acid for treating skin laxity and improving skin health. Profhilo is not a volumising dermal filler. It is also not mesotherapy. It is a SuperSkinBooster since it results in fantastic hydration and also triggers collagen and elastin production, resulting in bio-remodelling of the skin and hence dramatically improves the quality of the skin.

It can effectively cure wrinkles, by boosting the natural production of four different types of collagen and elastin from within the skin. Rather than remaining where it is placed until it naturally degrades, Profhilo interacts with your tissue and causes it to regenerate. Hence, Profhilo is perhaps best-described as a ‘bio-rejuvenator’, ‘bio-revitaliser’ or ‘tissue-stimulator’.

Profhilo offers a weightless Hydrolift effect. It is complementary to other hyaluronic acid fillers and many other treatments.

Profhilo in Surrey Treatment Info

Profhilo has high “spreadability” and cohesivity (ability to stay together). This means that that the product can flow freely through the dermis and subcutaneous tissues in a way that traditional hyaluronic acid fillers cannot. These qualities have been shown to be very effective in areas that are difficult to treat with traditional injectable products such as the temples, forehead, hands, inner arms and neck to mention a few.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are typically stabilised by crosslinking with 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE), to confer longevity. Otherwise, they would be broken down and eliminated within a week or two of injection.

The science behind Profhilo is fascinating. The technology was developed by Prof. Chiara Schiraldi and Prof. Mario de Rosa at the Second University of Naples. It is the first stabilised hyaluronic acid based product which is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE). Low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid are bonded together using a patented completely chemical-free, thermal process that confers structural and rheologic stability.

Profhilo is available in one formulation – 64mg of hyaluronic acid in a 2ml pre-filled syringe (32mg of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid + 32mg of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid).

Owing to this new technology it was possible to combine 32mg of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (80 – 100 KDa) and 32mg of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (1100 – 1400 KDa) while maintaining complete manageability. A total concentration of 64mg of hyaluronic acid is produced which has never been achieved before precisely because of technological limitations. This process does not involve the use of chemical cross-linking agents and the final product, Profhilo, is pure hyaluronic acid. The formulation of hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights contained in Profhilo means that it has a Hydrolift® Action and makes it easy to inject. Studies of Profhilo have also shown significant up-regulation of collagen and elastin production by both fibroblasts and keratinocytes, with minimal tissue inflammation.

Treatment to the face is delivered using the 5-point BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique which is seen as the optimum method for placement of the product. The 5 injection points on each side of the face, away from major vessels, nerves etc. are used and in such a way as to maximise the ‘spreadability’ of the product through diffuse regions of the cheek and jawline.

The product flows and distributes itself evenly, integrating within your skin’s tissue without resistance (rather than remaining where it is placed); this makes it naturally a much less painful procedure than dermal fillers.

Profhilo won’t produce lumps and bumps in these or other areas. Even if it’s injected as a bolus, it flows freely into the tissue and moves completely naturally and fills them evenly within 24 to 48 hours. Profhilo’s unsurpassed level of tissue integration and biocompatibility is due to its unique manufacturing process.

While most dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic such as lidocaine to assist in a pain-free procedure, no such anaesthetic is required for Profhilo injections. We also us a minute needle which means that the skin is generally free from marks and bruises.

It’s important to note that Profhilo is an excellent option for the earlier prevention of lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume. Beyond the teens, due to genetic or intrinsic ageing, we lose collagen and elastin from the dermis and our skin becomes thinner and less elastic.

Prevention is better than cure i.e. it is best to take action sooner and prevent wrinkles from forming and becoming more entrenched. This helps to maintain the best results for longer and means there is less need for future treatment if good skin health can be maintained.

Patients can expect increased elasticity and improved quality of the skin with the effects lasting six months.

Two to three treatments sessions are usually recommended initially, with a 1-month interval in between. Top-ups and maintenance treatments are usually done at 6 monthly intervals.

Transient redness, pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the implant site.

Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Hyaluronic acid is completely broken down within the skin leaving no trace.

The clinic is state of the art with all the treatments and products I need to keep aging at bay, make myself feel and look as good as possible. 5 stars from me!Rebecca (40) "
During my first consultation at the clinic, I was offered a computerised skin and complexion analysis called Visia. The therapist talked me through every step of the process. All I had to do is to remove my make up, before placing my chin and forehead to the platform. The machine then took 3 photos from 3 different angles. After a couple of minutes, the therapist showed me my pictures on the big screen. It was painful but informative experience. I was able to see in detail lines, pores, pigmentation, redness and also acne bacteria. You could zoom in to the tiniest parts of my face and view a 3D animation. Then my skin age was compared to my actual age. I was relieved when there was only a difference of a year! It was also possible to make my skin look 5 years younger or older and see the changes that take place – a really interesting feature! It was even possible to measure my eyelash length! All in all, it was an interesting and informative experience and it will allow me to see any changes after any skin regimes and treatments. I would highly recommend the Visia Skin Analysis to anyone who wants to look after their skin.Barbara"
"PRP HAIR TREATMENT – I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY THE RESULTI’m 23 and I noticed early stage hair loss and wanted to act on it soon to avoid any baldness. I did some research online into the topic and heard about PRP therapy. Unfortunately, there were no clinics providing such a treatment where I live, so I started looking in Surrey and London and found health + aesthetics in Farnham at the end. It felt comforting that there is a real doctor and not a beauty therapist delivering such treatments and I had more trust in her.I found it easy to book my consultation and appointments and my first impression was great. The website was slick and informative, had videos and proper information about my treatment. The clinic was easy to find and when I entered it seemed so clean and pristine. At the beginning, I felt embarrassed about my problem but everyone was professional and kind from the receptionist to the doctor, that my embarrassment just vanished.Specialist skin, laser and body clinic, health + aesthetics, Farnham, Surrey PRP herapy hair lossSo, I had a PRP therapy for the first time with RioBlush (for free offered by Dr Tailor, which was a nice touch). RioBlush felt bubbly and PRP was a bit scratchy but not too painful and it’s only for a couple of minutes anyway. Within a week or so, my hairline started to thicken up so I was absolutely blown away by the quick turnaround. Then I went back to the clinic for repeat treatments a couple of times and the outcome has been great. If I had to summarise the overall experience in one word it would definitely be professionalism. Everything was immaculate, neat and clean which is really important if you think about injections and chances for cross-infections in general.I would definitely recommend the clinic to anyone who shares my situation in being ‘folliclely-challenged’ :). All in all, I’m more confident and have a peace of mind that I don’t have to worry about this for a long time. "
I’ve always found the staff to be lovely, and have enjoyed noticeable results in the treatment of my Rosacea.Helen (50)"
