At health + aesthetics we treat a host of minor skin irregularities, including: skin tags, fibromas, thread veins, blood spots, whiteheads (milias) and blackheads (comedones).
If something is bothering you why not make an appointment to see Dr Tailor. We can carry out many minor surgical procedures in the quiet and comfortable surroundings of the clinic, which is easily accessible to patients in both Surrey and Hampshire.
How long does the treatment take?
Most treatments are very quick (some take only a few seconds) and may not even touch the skin’s surface. You will experience only minimal discomfort and healing time (downtime) is short.
What technology do we use?
We use a Lamprobe or a Hyfrecator.
Fibromas & Skin Tags
Fibromas are non-malignant growths, composed of fibrous tissue that can be either flat or raised. Skin tags appear as tiny pearl drops attached to the surface of the skin and can proliferate in ageing skins. They are small fibromas. Dr Rekha can easily remove them easily with the LamProbe by cauterising them where they attach to the surface of the skin.
Milia & Blackheads
Milia (whiteheads) forms as white points because dead skin cells and sebaceous matter trap and don’t clear out naturally. When oil in the pores becomes oxidized, it turns black and causes comedones (blackheads). They can appear anywhere on the skin. During treatment, LamProbe attracts the oil which then dries them instantly.
Blood Spots (Cherry Angiomas)
Blood spots can be small or large concentrations of blood, which can be either flat or raised. They commonly appear on the neck or décolletage. Dr Rekha can easily treat them with the LamProbe by cauterising them.
Broken Capillaries (Telangiecstasia)
Tiny blood vessels (thread veins) are commonly appear on the nose, cheeks and chin. Those who suffer from allergies or practice a poor lifestyle regime (alcohol, smoking and eating excessively spicy foods) are more likely to develop broken capillaries or they can be hereditary. Habitually crossing legs, wearing clothing that impairs circulation or tight hosiery can cause thread veins on the legs. Dr Rekha can easily remove broken capillaries and many of them will disappear after one session. Larger broken capillaries on the legs may need laser treatment or sclerotherapy.
