What is ENDOLIFT®?

ENDOLIFT® is a minimally invasive outpatient laser procedure used in aesthetic medicine.

The treatment has multiple purposes: the remodeling of both deep and superficial layers of the skin, toning, the retraction of connective septums, and the stimulation of collagen production. The main activity of Endolift® is promoting skin tightening, in other words, the retraction and reduction of skin laxity thanks to the activation
of neo-collagenesis and of metabolic functions in the extracellular matrix.

The skin tightening created by Endolift® is strictly linked to the selectivity of the laser beam used, that is to the specific interaction of the laser light which selectively hits two of the main targets of the human body: water and fat.

How Does It Work?

Single-use micro-optical fibers, a bit thinner than hair (FTF® Eufoton® Fiber-to-Fiber), are easily inserted under the skin into the superficial hypodermis. Endolift® does not require incisions or general anaesthesia.

The procedure does not involve long recovery times and you will be able to immediately return to your usual activities. Results are not only immediate and long-term but continue to improve for several months following the procedure, as additional collagen builds in the deep layers of the skin.

As with all procedures in aesthetic medicine, the response and the duration of the effect depends on each patient.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Endolift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses cutting-edge laser technology to tighten and lift sagging, aged skin. The effects reach both deep and superficial layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production whilst also reducing excess fatty tissue. It provides a more advanced lift than fillers alone can achieve and can be considered to be the next step before patients choose to undergo invasive surgical facelift procedures.

Hair-thin optical fibres are inserted just under the surface of the skin, into the hypodermis. These fibres deliver pre-set laser energy to create micro-tunnels within the treated area. This causes skin retraction, resulting in the immediate tightening effect seen soon after treatment. However, the laser targets and heats water and fat cells as well as stimulate collagen production and skin remodelling.

The laser optical fibres are hair-thin and can be inserted with only a small puncture and no need for general anaesthetic or sutures. Slight redness and swelling of the area treated can be seen but generally only lasts a few hours. No bandages are required and you can return to your normal daily activities the same day.

The customisation of the settings for the Endolift means various areas can be treated and the various problems can be tackled. The treatment is generally possible across four zones of the face within which the neck, jowls, and under the chin, nasolabial folds, and lower eyelids are included. Each zone is treated separately and takes about 60 minutes to complete. In some cases, two treatment zones can be combined.

We can also treat certain areas of the body such as the abdomen, inner thigh, knees, and ankles.

Endolift is one of the few minimally invasive procedures that has an immediate rejuvenating and skin tightening effect. Over the course of a few weeks, collagen production begins and will steadily continue to build up for the next 6-12 months. The treatment, therefore, provides a continuous improvement in skin health with repeat “top-up” procedures also possible.

A suitable candidate for Endolift is someone who has mild to moderate skin laxity on the face or body. The procedure can be performed on all skin types and age groups. It is not recommended to perform the procedure on pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The fact that Endolift is non-surgical means there are less risks involved in treatment. What’s more, Endolift is FDA approved and highly researched, making it a safe and reliable treatment option. Our expert team is also highly skilled and experienced in delivering Endolift, ensuring the treatment is safe and effective each time.

One session takes around 60 minutes, depending on the locations being targeted. Most people need just a single session of Endolift to achieve their goals, but some people can need more than one session depending on their unique needs.

As it is non-invasive, there are very few side effects with Endolift treatment and conveniently, downtime is minimal. There may be some mild bruising or swelling which can be easily covered with makeup, and most people can expect to resume daily activities straight away.

Endolift can be combined with other treatments to allow for an even further enhanced aesthetic. For example, some people choose to prepare the tissues with polynucleotide treatments to boost the results. Your doctor will be able to discuss other treatment options depending on your individual needs.
