It pays to pay for CoolSculpting
As the weather slowly starts to improve and thoughts turn to summer clothes and foreign holidays, many of us would love to find a quick fix to lose a couple of inches and tone up.
One procedure that’s causing a buzz is CoolSculpting – a non- invasive, no needle and no scarring alternative to liposuction that achieves great results without surgery.
We offer CoolSculpting here at Health & Aesthetics and it really is a fantastic treatment. Our patients love it.
So how does Cool Sculpting work?
This treatment uses a technology called cryolipolysis to freeze and destroy fat cells. The cold temperatures simply break down the fatty deposits, which are then expelled naturally through the body’s lymphatic system after treatment. The procedure is entirely painless and there is no downtime required afterwards.
It is excellent for targeting precise areas where patients wish to see a difference (such as the stomach, love handles, arms, thighs and double chin) without damaging neighbouring tissue. Results can be dramatic. We normally expect to see around 25-40% fat reduction in the treated areas after just one treatment and as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and do not gain excess weight, your results should be long-lasting.
So good are the results that Cool Sculpting has won a host of industry awards and it is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment to use controlled cooling.
Beware of cheaper alternatives
Unfortunately the success of this treatment has led to a proliferation of copycat procedures that offer nowhere near the same safety record and nowhere near the same results. They may be cheaper and they may make ambitious claims, but they do not have FDA approval. They also have little or no safety or evidence data to support them and many of these copy devices have even caused third degree freeze burns. Take a look at the newspaper headlines below.
Cool Sculpting on the other hand has undergone numerous trials over a long period of time in order to receive FDA clearance and CE Mark Class IIa status. To date there have been over 2,000,000 patient treatments worldwide using this technology.
So don’t take the risk. At Health & Aesthetics we are highly experienced at administering this treatment. All patients undergo a thorough consultation first, where you can ask questions and discuss any concerns.
