If catching sight of thinning hair or a developing bald patch gives you a fright, PRP Therapy could be the answer.

BUY YOUR PRP THERAPY BEFORE 31ST OCTOBER AND ENJOY A FRIGHTENING 50% OFF!

PRP Therapy, also known as ‘Dracula’ therapy, uses your body’s own natural resources, present in your blood, to provide a powerful boost to your skin’s tone and texture or to stimulate hair growth. This revolutionary treatment stimulates collagen production and can also promote hair re-growth and reverse the effects of alopecia, thinning hair and balding.

It uses a concentrated serum created from your own processed blood plasma, which is injected into your scalp to promote hair re-growth. The plasma and platelets stimulate your hair follicles, resulting in improved hair growth and texture, and slowing down, or even reversing, the signs of hair loss.

If you think that sounds totally bats, you might like to know that this treatment has been around since the 1970s. It was originally developed for use in open heart surgery, but has since been used across several medical fields including sports medicine, pain management and dentistry.

WHAT DOES PRP THERAPY INVOLVE?

Despite the therapy’s ‘Dracula’ nickname, don’t worry, there are no ‘fangs’ involved! At the start of your treatment, we will take a small syringe of blood from your arm, then immediately process it in a centrifuge, leaving a clear serum containing platelets. This serum is rich in natural proteins which can reverse cell damage, promote healing, repair DNA and stimulate collagen production in your skin; as well as boosting your hair follicles when injected into your scalp.

The treatment is virtually painless, as we use tiny needles to inject the serum (into the scalp for hair treatments, or to the face, neck, décolletage or hands for skin treatments).

The platelets within the serum release their growth factors – prompting dormant hair follicles to reactivate and produce new hair. Over time, the effect is to regrow hair and reduce the appearance of thinning or bald patches.

There are few side effects – you may experience mild swelling or a feeling of ‘tightness’ in your scalp for a day or two following your treatment, and some patients experience a slight headache the following day. But there’s no recovery time needed, and you can carry on as normal straight after treatment. Following a facial treatment, there may be some swelling and bruising but this is a very quick recovery.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE, AND HOW MANY PRP TREATMENT ARE NEEDED?

Each treatment takes about 45 minutes, including the creation of the PRP serum.

We usually recommend a series of three to five treatments, four to six weeks apart. Afterwards, a maintenance treatment every three to six months helps to deliver long-lasting results.

DOES PRP ‘DRACULA’ THERAPY WORK WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

PRP treatment for your hair works as a stand-alone treatment, but can be combined with mesotherapy and Viviscal Professional to achieve even better results.

But if you want to experience its full benefits for your skin, it combines well with laser skin treatments and SkinPen™ treatments, and can result in enhanced healing and faster recovery.

You’ll have a comprehensive consultation before any treatment, to make sure it’s suitable for you, which will give you the opportunity to explore whether to combine it with other treatments, depending on the results you hope to achieve.
