Rioblush therapy is a safe and minimally invasive treatment that is clinically proven to rejuvenate your skin. Hailed as the biggest breakthrough since Botox, it is already incredibly popular in both Brazil and the USA.
The treatment works by using carbon dioxide to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and improve the overall texture of the skin. It has no downtime and a single session can take between fifteen minutes and an hour.
This new treatment is in demand from our patients who visit our multi-award-winning clinic from throughout Surrey and Hampshire.
How does Rioblush therapy work?
Rioblush therapy relies on injecting medical grade carbon dioxide under the skin which tricks the body into increasing the blood supply to these areas. This brings more oxygen and nutrients to the treated area(s) and stimulates the body’s own natural restorative processes, including collagen production.
Rioblush has also been clinically proven to destroy fat cells and fade scarring.
What areas does Rioblush therapy treat?
- Lines and wrinkles
- Puffy eyes
- Dark circles around the eyes
- Stretch marks
- Cellulite
- It can also reduce hair loss and stimulate hair re-growth
The procedure is safe to perform on any area of the body but is most commonly used on the face, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs and bottom.
Is Rioblush therapy safe?
Carbon dioxide is a natural gas that is found in the body so allergic reactions do not occur. Healthcare professionals have been using carboxytherapy therapeutically for over fifty years and has got an excellent safety profile.
At Health & Aesthetics we use specially refined medical grade carbon dioxide for all procedures.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is virtually painless, although it can cause some minor discomfort or stinging during and immediately after treatment.
Dr Rekha injects the carbon dioxide using a tiny needle attached to a tube. This delivers the gas, in a carefully controlled flow, to the specific area which we treat. To reduce any discomfort, the carbon dioxide can be either warmed or cooled to reduce any discomfort.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are rare but can include some minor swelling, redness (due to increased blood flow), bruising and tenderness, which may last up to 5 days.
Following treatment, you will be able to return to your normal lifestyle immediately. However, we recommend you to avoid bathing and swimming for the first few hours.
What results can I expect after Rioblush carboxytherapy?
Most people see an improvement after the first treatment, although it usually takes up to six weeks for the body to fully respond to the procedure.
You can see more pronounced and long-lasting results after 6 – 12 treatments, by which time the skin appears brighter, healthy and rejuvenated.
