The temples located at the sides of the eyes can be one of the first areas to show signs of ageing. The temples hollow or have a sunken appearance with increasing age. This makes you look tired and unwell.
Also, repetitive movements around the eyes causes wrinkles such as crows feet to develop.
This area is often ignored but can be very easily rejuvenated with dermal fillers. Treatment with dermal fillers helps to restore lost volume and so helps to restore balance. The crows feet will also improve and the whole face looks more youthful and rejuvenated.
We use Juvederm Vycross (hyaluronic acid fillers).
Topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area 15 minutes before the treatment to make the area numb.
The filler is then injected in precise location in the temple. After the treatment the area is lightly massaged. You will be able to see the results of the treatment straight away.
After treatment, you should avoid touching the area and applying any makeup to the treatment due to the risk of infection. You will be given specific post-treatment instructions.
After treatment there may be common injection related side-effects such as swelling, redness, itching, pain, tenderness or mild bruising. This will settle down within 2-14 days.
To avoid swelling and bruising –
The results are immediate and last 12 to 18 months.
