8 Point Facelift and Dermal Fillers

Posted on 13th April 2016 by Dr Rekha Tailor

The 8 Point Facelift is a treatment to treat eight areas of the face to rejuvenate the face. It is a clever advanced technique that restores lost volume and structure to the face using carefully targeted dermal fillers.  It is a highly effective procedure that achieves excellent, natural looking results.

This treatment is also known as the 8-Point Lift or the Liquid Facelift.

The technique was first developed by Dr Mauricio de Maio, an eminent surgeon from Brazil. It is a very popular non-surgical treatment used throughout the world.

What is the 8 Point Facelift?

As we age we lose fat from different fat compartments in the face, especially the mid-face. This results in sagging and drooping. Over recent years, a better understanding of the aging process and the pattern of volume loss has resulted in more sophisticated treatments being developed. This means we can now rejuvenate the face more accurately and effectively.

Where does the 8 Point Facelift target?

8 Point Facelift

The 8 Point Lift targets:

  • Cheeks – to restore volume and lift.
  • Tear troughs – so you look less tired.
  • Nose to mouth lines – to create a smoother complexion.
  • Downturned mouth – to lift the corners of the mouth.
  • Jawline – to lift the jowls.

How does the 8 Point Facelift work?

With this technique we use small amounts of dermal filler at precise points in the mid and lower face to create a subtly rejuvenated natural look. It will lift the face, but will not appear overdone or fake. There is also very little recovery time. Results can last 15 to 18 months.

What exactly will be achieved?

  • You will look less tired and more refreshed.
  • Your skin will look brighter and fresher.
  • Your eye circles and hollows will have improved.
  • You will have less lines and wrinkles.
  • Your jowls will have lifted and your jawline will be more defined.
