Hooded Eyes & Heavy Brows
Hooded eyes classically feature excess skin which folds down from the brow bone to the lash line. This can be the result of your eye shape, ageing or heavy brows.
What causes hooded eyes & heavy brows?
As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin and as a result our skin becomes less elastic, causing wrinkles. These wrinkles can appear anywhere on the body, especially around the eyes which are constantly moving as we blink, squint and smile.
Another cause of hooded eyes is a heavy brow or eye shape. The brows appear heavy as we age due to loosening of the tissues in our forehead as we age. Sometimes, the eye shape means that the fold at the upper eyelid is lower which gives the appearance of hooded eyes.
