What is PRP for Hair Loss?

PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma which means the portion of plasma that has the highest concentration of platelets. This is important since this portion of the blood has the highest concentration of Growth Factors which is what is required to help your own hair to regenerate. During treatment, you blood is taken by Dr Rekha Tailor and then separated into plasma and blood cells with the use of a separation kit and a centrifuge. This PRP is extremely rich in growth factors and natural proteins which are proven to promote hair re-growth by injecting this PRP into the scalp, to treat hair loss.

At Health and Aesthetics we use Cellenis and this is an FDA approved treatment meaning it is clinically proven to be both safe and effective.

What does the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy involve?

We take a small syringe of blood from your arm. Then, we immediately process it, which takes about 15 minutes. Afterwards, Dr Tailor injects the harvested serum painlessly into the scalp.
