The main difference between the two methods is that Intense Pulse Light (IPL) produces a variety of light waves. This means the light is more diffused and less powerful and therefore limited to use in fair skin types. Hence, it is less effective than Laser hair removal.

A laser uses an intensely concentrated beam of light which is focused and hence it is powerful and accurate. Laser treatment means best possible results on all skin types.
