Non-Surgical Brow Lift with Sofwave

Posted on 20th October 2022 by Dr Rekha Tailor

Have you ever looked in the mirror and pulled your brows up slightly toward your hairline and thought, “Wow, I look so much younger!” Everything goes south as we age, including our brows. If you’re noticing you look a little more tired than usual when you look in the mirror, you’re not alone.

What causes sagging eyebrows?

Sagging or drooping eyebrows are usually caused by age. As the muscles in the face weaken, it can cause the eyebrows to gradually lower. As we get older, our skin naturally loses collagen, a crucial protein that keeps our skin looking firm and youthful. Sometimes they can also be caused by other conditions such as cancer, facial nerve weakness, and trauma.

Sagging eyebrows, or heavy brows, make our eyes look droopy, and increase our deep furrows and facial frown lines – resulting in a “down” appearance that can affect our self-confidence. Eyebrows are a defining feature of any face, so it is important to pay attention to their appearance.

How can you lift eyebrows?

A great option for restoring your brow placement and reducing wrinkles is a non-surgical brow lift procedure using the latest technology in ultrasound. In the past, ultrasound procedures have been extremely painful and provided minimal results. But with the newest, FDA-cleared ultrasound technology, Sofwave can revitalize the skin without surgery and dermal fillers.

What is Sofwave?

Sofwave™ has developed Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology, which can dramatically lift your eyebrows and reduce the wrinkles in your furrowed forehead – all without having to schedule surgery with a cosmetic surgeon and allowing you to avoid enduring a long healing process.

How does Sofwave lift the brow?

Sofwave SUPERB™ technology revitalizes skin through ultrasound treatments that stimulate the new production of collagen – the protein responsible for the firmness and elasticity of healthy skin. This ultrasound energy precisely passes through the skin’s surface (the epidermis), heating the mid-dermal tissue at just the right depth and temperature to stimulate collagen fiber production and improve the overall appearance of the skin. This ultrasound energy causes tissue to heat up rapidly.

Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain higher temperature, they are stimulated to produce more collagen and elastin – which consequently lifts your sagging brow and revives skin to a younger, more wrinkle-free appearance. The impacted treatment zones stimulate a healing response, called neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis, which increases and regenerates the collagen and elastin in the skin – thus reducing fine lines and wrinkles, lifting the eyebrows, and lifting the lax skin of the submental (beneath-the-chin) and neck tissues.

How many Sofwave™ treatments are necessary for a successful eyebrow lift?

Typically, the Sofwave™ treatment protocol calls for just one or two treatments, depending on the patient’s skin condition and recommended treatment plan.

When Will I See Results?

The collagen regeneration process can sometimes take 3 to 6 months, so patients can expect to see ongoing improvements within the first few months after their treatment.

In addition to brow lifting, Sofwave can also be used to improve the upper face, lower face and neck. Sofwave is a suitable and safe treatment for all skin types.
