Skin Tags
Skin tags are small growths on the skin which are invariably skin coloured. They can vary in size and colour from as small as just a few millimetres, up to 5cm wide.
Skin tags can grow anywhere on the body, but are often found on the eyelids, neck, armpits, groin and under the breasts.
Skin tags can be an annoyance, but for some patients they can affect their confidence, especially when on the face and neck.
Causes of skin tags
Skin Tags are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin. They are quite common in older people and pregnant women as a result of changes in hormones, however, there is not a set reason for patients to develop skin tags.
Although skin tags are harmless, they can snag on jewellery and clothing causing discomfort and affect your self-esteem.
Our Consultations
Our consultations are in-depth and tailored to you, creating a bespoke treatment plan catering to all of your concerns.
ConsultationTreatments
At Health & Aesthetics we regularly treat skin tags using a cautery device (Hyfracator, Plexr or Lamprobe).
If skin tags are around the eyes, the treatment must be completed by Dr Rekha Tailor due to the sensitive nature of the area. Any other skin tags can be removed by one of our experienced aestheticians.
